Avacyn Restored wird also ein größeres Set sein, als es für eine zweite Erweiterung üblich ist. Aus diesem Grund wird es auch wie damals schon Rise of the Eldrazi allein gedraftet werden! In Block Constructed Formaten zählen jedoch wieder alle drei Teile des Blocks!

Hier mal das Wesentlichste:

- Avacyn is no the only legendary angel in this set
- Avacyn has 3 flights - and each has a legendary messenger
- All angels are white, but they aren't all completely white.
- Wolfirs are a werewolves that have had their werewolf and human parts fused in order to make inner peace. This service was done by Avacyn.
- There are griffs in AVR - kind of like griffons, but they have heron heads.
- Undying was the mechanic that is also in AVR.
- Soulbond is a new mechanic in AVR. It reflects humans working together
- Another mechanic introduced - Miracles! These cards have a new frame treatment to help make sure you know to reveal it when you draw. There are no black miracles.

- Silverblade Paladin - 1WW, 2/2, Soulbond (You may pair this creature with another unpaired creature when either enters the battlefield. They remain paired as long as you control both of them). As long as Silverblade Paladin is paired with another creature, both creatures have double strike. Rare card
- Restoration Angel - 3W, Flash, Flying, 3/4, When Restoration Angel enters the battlefield, you may exile target non-angel creature you control then return that creature to the battlefield under your control. Rare
- Sigarda, Host of Herons - 2GWW - Flying, Hexproof, 5/5, spells and abilities your opponents control can't cause you to sacrifice permanents. Legendary and a mythic.
- Thunderous Wrath - 4RR, Instant, Thunderous Wrath deals 5 damage to target creature or player. Miracle R (You may cast this card for its Miracle cost when you draw it if it's the first card you drew this turn). Uncommon.
