Dann werden die CMC der Vor und Rückseite bzw. beider Hälften addiert?
Bei Split cards ja. Double Faced Cards funktionieren komplett anders, da gelten in jeder Zone außer dem Spiel und dem Stapel immer nur die Eigenschaften der Vorderseite
712.4a While a double-faced card is outside the game or in a zone other than the battlefield or stack, it has only the characteristics of its front face.
von Double Faced Cards war in der originalen Frage aber auch nicht die Rede, deswegen weiß ich gerade nicht, wie du überhaupt drauf kommst.
Galt das nicht auch für z.B. Dreadhorde Arcanist?
Oder heißt das in diesem Fall: Dead könnte ich bei enem liegenden Arkanisten spielen, Gone nicht, da dessen CMC 3 sind?

Bedeutet, du könntest (zumindest solange Dreadhorde Arcanists Power nicht mindestens 4 ist) weder Dead noch Gone spielen.
